Intro to Blacksmithing (Beginner’s Blacksmithing)

Interested in learning the basics of blacksmithing? Then attend one of our beginner’s courses! This 3-hour course will teach you all about the fundamentals of moving and forging hot metal: working with an anvil, tongs, & hammers, practicing key techniques such as scrolling, drawing out, and twisting, & making projects such as an S hook, fire poker, and more! Class is capped at 8 people. Register for this great, hands-on blacksmithing event!

  • No previous metalworking experience required

  • Minimum age requirements: 14+

  • Cost includes all steel, fuel, and other supplies, time in the shop, and instruction

  • Must be covered from top to bottom (no open-toed shoes)

Forge your own Meathook

Ever wanted to forge your own meathook? Then attend our Forge Your Own Meathook event! In this 3-hour course, you will learn the techniques of tapering, twisting, scrolling, welding, & collaring to make a functional, custom-made Meat Hook. Class is capped at 8 people.

Bladesmithing/Knife-Making

Want to learn how knives are forged? Then attend one of our bladesmithing courses. This is an all day, 8-hour course. In this class you will forge your own knife out of steel. You will learn key techniques of knife-making including spreading & shaping a blade, hardening & tempering, & grinding a cutting edge. You will also get to make a handle! Class is capped at 8 people. Register for this awesome event!

  • Must have previously attended one of our intro courses or show certification of previous blacksmithing experience

  • Recommendation age requirements minimum 16 with prior expereicnce

  • Cost includes all steel, fuel, and other supplies, time in the shop, and instruction

  • Must be covered from top to bottom (no open-toed shoes)

  • Small-group instruction
